My concern is, of course, 3rd party programs that many of us have seen in games like Counter Strike.  Are we going to have to concern ourselves with Aim Bots or other exploits/hacks?

What about the age old gold farmer?  Will they have a place here or a need to be here?  I certainly hope not.

I doubt it. The devs stated (multiple times) that they're implementing their own anti-cheat system. Plus, most of their weapons are projectile based, which means if you fire that sniper rifle with the reticule on someone, they can still dodge it (no instant damage).

As for gold farming, PvE drops mostly components and loot with a bit of cash, while PvP drops cash. I don't see how you can farm a game like GA, where it involves actively moving around and dodging stuff. If there's no need for gold farmers, they won't crop up, since they can't make any money off it.

Good to know.  I'm a little behind on my reading and such with GA.  It just came to my attention a couple weeks ago before my move.

Heh, I remember hearing about it way back in january, forgetting about it, then recently getting a newsletter and remembering it all again and getting addicted and sucking up as much info as I could.

...I'm lonely inside...

Hah this actually was pointed out to me by my guild leader.  So far I am the only active forum member.  The others are waiting on keys but not participating in the community.  I have tomorrow off work so I'll be doing more reading and watching.  For now it's almost time to go to work.

No one outside of Hi-Rez has seen anything except for the random objective skirmishes so far.

They're really only testing basic gameplay publicly right now and have kept the specifics of most of the game pretty quiet so far.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a nice amount of strategic gameplay made available though once we get to see the Agency campaign, it really will be the big selling point that can make this game unique among all of the others.

I agree...the agency and alliance maneuvers to coordinate the 12v12 matches (or smaller) is really what has me pumped.

Here is a question I have been wondering about...can a stealthed recon enter an instance of an enemy's base to scout it out?  Anyone heard about anything like that?
