The guys at EuroGamer recently sat down with Global Agenda and have provided some of their experiences with the game. Here's a clip regarding the Assault class:

The Assault class works well either as a Tank or a Destroyer, stomping around doing lots of area-of-effect damage to people defending control points, and had I not been thrown in at the deep end while simultaneously trying to interview game designer Andy Harmon, I’m told I would have been striking up good relationships with a nearby Medic, whose specialty is a healing gun, or perhaps Recon players, whose stealth specialty allows them to infiltrate objectives while my bruising Assault character draws the enemy’s attention.

The Assault class is definitely one of my preferred classes currently. I suppose its their great firepower combined with nice survivability that has drawn me in.

Intriguing...melee fighting includes blocking and reflecting damage.  I did not know about that...

Yea, the melee aspect of the game is quite interesting, and fun. I must say. They did a good job with it imo.
