Official Description
By using the latest technology to gain the upper hand, the robotics agent is able to defend strategic points with turrets and force fields, or press forward by using remote control combat robots.
Robotics Roles
Automated Defenses and Support: The Robotics player has a variety of automated gun and rocket turrets that they can construct at key defensive positions such as capture points. In addition to their turrets, they also have access to a variety of support tools such as medical hubs, damage bonus fields, force fields, and stealth sensors.
Offensive Bots: Robotics players also have the option to deploy various short-duration automated bots that will pursue and attack hostiles. This allows the Robotics player to play a more offensive style, carrying a stronger weapon and less support tools.
Playing as a Robotics
The Robotics class is primarily geared towards a defensive play-style with their turrets being one of the most effective defensive tools available. Coupled with the great variety of stationary support deployables, a Robotics player can easily remain in one location throughout a match simply maintaining his deployed defenses while they ward off attackers.
The stationary playstyle is not always effective however, especially when in an offensive role. A Robotics that deploys bots will always be on the move, charging enemies and blasting them away at close range with his shotgun while one of his many bots provides additional damage.
