I also posted this question to a guy that's going to be asking questions to the dev's soon. I'm curious as to what you guys think will make people get sucked in and stay with the game for time to come.

It's awesomeness? Honestly I don't know, I haven't played the game yet, but from what I've read it seems like it's going to be sort of like a TF2 MMO on steroids sci-fi style. I said that line to a friend and he seems to be pretty  impressed.

I would have to say the pace is what will sell it.  A first person shooter MMO with good fundamental FPS controls will be a hell of a good time.  Yeah it looks really polished on the engine and the physics look to be in place.  I also think this will attract alot of younger players.

I agree with Mal on the pace.  But I think in addition, the fast pace combined with the strategic element of taking and holding world hexes, along with the ability to customize a base, will be huge.  The idea of coordinated alliance maneuvers in the world with FPS gameplay has me salivating!
