While we wait for GA beta invites and for GA to come out, I was wondering what are some games that are holding you over?

Right now I'm playing:

TF2
World of Goo
COD4
Batman: Arkham Asylum

Notes:

-I tried out Aion and found it to be just another mmo korean grindfest so I uninstalled and cancelled subscription
-Batman: Arkham Asylum is probably one of the best single player games I've played in a very, very long time. I highly recommend it
-Tf2 is getting boring.
-Waiting on COD6, Starcraft2, and Diablo 3. (Big fan of Blizzard entertainment)

So what games are holding you over?

Heroes of Newerth, a little bit of League of Legends, trying out a game called BattleSwarm = 2 players play rts style bugs and spawn insects out of 6 hives to destroy a base defended by 6 other players who play fps style, interesting and fun at times. Beating myself in the face for missing the Huxley open Friday last week I think, had it open for everyone for just one day, I missed it. Still got some HoN keys so pm me your email if you want one. That just how the invite system works, I really don't want your email, though signing you up for some random gay porn would be humorous to me.

Yeah Aion was a big let down. I removed my pre-order because I disliked the beta so much. I've been messing with instruments lately. In relation to the topic though, Rock Band 2. My friends and I are pretty good at it on rockbandstats.com Tongue.

I finished Arkham Asylum a few days ago, and WOW is all I have to say. That game was very good and kept my interest the whole time. Other games I'm playing include TF2 and trying to learn Heroes of Newerth.

Hell yea man, I'm 50% through Arkham and I cannot put it down. I am completely impressed with this game and recommend it to everyone. And to those of you into HoN and LoL...I was pretty let down with HoN. It's Dota with revamped graphics, but they somehow still managed to make it shittier. For instance, every hero looks like a giant blob of nice graphics, but still unable to tell who is who. So I don't know why anyone would play HoN over Dota..and LoL was actually decent..It was something a little different than Dota, but still, I think Dota beats both of em.. >.<

I had only played maybe one or 2 games of DOTA (and had no clue what I was doing) before I had tried HoN, so that's probably why I prefer it over DOTA. As for Arkham, I beat the game and collected all the joker items and thought it would 100% the game but you need to do all the challenges which are pretty hard. So I'm stuck at around 85% unless I feel like finishing all the challenges which I probably wont.

Very little WoW, other than that not much. Should probably buy some new FPS' to get ready for GA, though.

For those playing TF2, is it worth picking up?  Looks fun, but I have heard the game is plagued by over-modding now.  Thoughts?

I was more in the competitive scene of TF2 when I played, so I hardly played in pub's ever. I really enjoyed playing in the free cevo league we joined, but unfortunately my team couldn't keep up because most of us started college and couldn't manage it anymore. It's really cheap now and you definitely get your moneys worth so I would pick it up. It's also pretty good practice for GA since there's a lot of similar classes (Medic, Heavy, Spy/Sniper, Engineer).

I'm banging my head against Warhammer Online.  Been here since Closed Beta on and off.  I've been so fed up a couple times already with bugs that were left to rot and create imbalances for 2-3 months that I have quit twice.  One time with me even deleting all my toons.  I hope that GA has a more dedicated development team and is smart enough to keep EA out of it.

I feel your pain.  I played WAR from launch for about 6 months with my Ironbreaker, but after eventually I couldn't take the boredom of PvPing in the same map over and over (since at that time, keep-taking was a lame zerg-fest).
