So I just finished reading the latest Recon interview, and a few things stuck out at me that I didn't realize before.

I didn't actually know about the single hit-box for players...no head-shots!  This makes sense to me now though, since other interviews had stated that the aiming system would be somewhat forgiving.  You still have to hit the target, but if the hit-box is big enough it would definitely take away a small degree of the twitch factor.

The other thing is the anti-stealth equipment.  I had assumed this would be available, but for some reason I didn't expect it to be recon vs. recon.  While recons hunting recons sounds fun, I am just wondering if other classes will also have access to anti-stealth equipment.  Since I am looking forward to playing a squishy medic, that is something that would make life a touch safer.  Then again, I suppose if everyone could have anti-stealth, the recon class might not be a useful.

Thoughts?

The only one I know of that has any kind of way to deal with stealthing Recons is the Robotics class. They have a deployable sensor type device.

The no headshot thing definitely takes some time to adjust to, but doesn't seem to have a huge impact with all the fancy equipment players constantly make use of to augment damage temporarily and stuff like that.

Aye...damage increase is cool.  I am actually a fan of the single hit-box, no head-shot system.  As the interview says, it makes it a touch more RPG, which is great for old-timers like me with slower reflexes Wink

It's not as bad as I thought it would be, I do however like getting headshots, but the game is fine w/o them.

They should add a noise if you do get a headshot though. No extra damage just a noise played haha.

Anti-stealth is kind of how it is in TF2, you have to "spy"check by shooting around any damage they receive while stealth will make them appear for a short time. It will be interesting to see if they add mods for other classes to increase their chance to see stealth enemies.
